• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Bump maps are nearly done; I'm just going to wait for the specular-mapped model to come out.

Very cool! Been flying Dino's F14D a lot! In addition to the new "skins" on my wishlist would be a manual wingsweep capability. :ernae:
 
VF-103 never operated F-14Ds; the only squadrons to use them were VF-2/31/101/213. I'm going to make real high and low-viz schemes for every squadron.
 
Those paints are looking really nice

Mike, your repaints are looking really nice.
I'm packing the model with specular maps right now (I am trying to mitigate the shading issues on the tails).
Specular effect is subtle, but it is definitely an enhacement.

By the way the new model will not have the "modeled" burner anymore...as the source for that model was lost (file corrupted ...and no backup), so they will be (removable) particle effects.

I'll make a post on my blog once the file is ready.
