This campaign is based closely upon the history of the 67th Fighter Squadron flying P-400s and P-39s at Henderson field during the epic siege of Guadalcanal. Henderson was code named "Cactus", hence the campaign name.

Originally it was intended to simply update the 87 Days of Cactus mission set from 2001 by Carl Gulde with the most current versions of CFS2 aircraft...
