'90 Years of KLM.'

At the end of this year the KLM will celebrate it's 90th anniversary, and one of the things to celebrate this is this 737 in retro livery.
Only a few days old, but already two repaints have appeared over at Avsim! :applause:

This aircraft did a low level tour over part of Holland on new year's day, in formation with a 777. The DC-2 and a DC-3 were supposed to join as well, but the low cloud ceiling and fog meant the Douglasses (Douglii..?) stayed on the ground and the flight was cut short to the coastal area.
Don't know why the KLM expected good weather in the winter in Holland.... I mean after 90 years of experience they should have know better IMHO ! :costumes:

More celebrations to come, including a recreation of (a part of) the MacRobertson race in the DC-2!

P.s. How realistic is the airfile of the Posky 737? The roll rate seems almost non-existent... Any better options available?

Great to celebrate Dutch aviation history Ferry, hope someone tackles this livery for a Project Opensky 737 ...

Mike :amen:

The one in my shots is for the Posky 737, Mike. :)

There's another Posky paint of this aircraft available too, but it's slightly less sharp and has some mipmap issues.

Willy: The default 737 is a -400 model without winglets, while the KLM uses a -800 with winglets and without the 'eyebrow' windows.

I've got a FDE merge for the POSKY 737 model with Kittyhawk's FDE, but only for the FSX version of the aircraft.

I can upload it here if you want to adapt it for FS9.

I just figured it would go good with vintage Western Air Lines paint for the default.

Thank you very much Ferry! Mike :ernae:

Next time you go Mister, you go Soviet Historical International Transportation airline!

This airline only use Russian oligarchs Exes as pilots. Must be sexy, must be surly. Skirt to be above knee, as we see girls training to in Dnieproprovolsk Flightschool.

Alcohol compulsory.

I flew just about every model of the 737 at some time or another. The max roll rates, if you chose to use them, was as good as any WWII fighter, with those big roll spoilers.

I traveled on a 737 klm
from Amsterdam to Heathrow
a couple of months ago
great trip and drinks

Авиалинии России:

Last year I rode on Sibeir (S7) and was surprised at the fairly good, by international service, even in coach. Far better than any American Domestic Airline. Now the ground service does fall below that standard of service, such as it is... A lot of pretty ladies in Russia, even some of them work for the airlines...

In country a lot of dead 727skis etc littering the ramps and back lots, but mostly they seem to be operating recent vintage Western aircraft, at least on international routes. Still se a lot of in use Russian carog aircraft throught the "stan's" and in the Middle East (not Ohio...).

And yes, even on the Chitty Hoppers, domestic Europe, ya can get a beer,,,,

Cheers: T.

I gather KLM have had a policy rethink and reintroduced a limited drinks service. In other words, they were losing passengers !

Funny how I post serious screenshots of the aircraft in question, come back a few days later and they've been magnified twice. Post pictures of girls' legs and boobs &, in the same period, they've been looked at in detail 29 times!

Anyway, you need a decent panel & gauges to go in your 73', and the Steve Southey one (also at avsim) seems to do the trick.

Still can't get interior lights on! But at least you can tell those pesky passengers NO SMOKING, FASTEN SEATBELTS, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES...

The best freeware 737 I have come across as far as systems and copilot is the one by Arjan Scheffel.. absolutely brilliant effort.

I have put his stuff into a posky plane, also got all the views working.. I would love him to do a twin prop plane like a Dornia 328.
