A/C Regenerating Lost Parts

Another new one for me, though the vets have probably seen it before. I shot down an Alb D2 last night, the entire tail section left the a/c. I had to take hard evasive moves to keep from hitting it and as such, lost sight of the D2. I figured it spun in. I came back around, expecting to see the crash site, and a ways away, I see the D2 still flying. As I got closer, I saw that it had re-grown it's tail feathers!:censored: I did manage to finish it off.......
No complaints, just another in the string of odd happenings.

Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe

Zere you see, zat ze German planes vere far superior to ze crumpets. (lol!)

Never seen that before or heard of it either. I would suspect you were seeing a second plane after killing the first, but who knows?

I have seen good sized chunks fly off of a plane but you don't see the damage on the plane itself, just the flying chunk!

I'm just pleasently surprized, you haven't encountered a flamed DR1, that refuses to crash, it just continuously circles your position, losing altitude all the way. Till about 100 feet, then it starts to climb, still in flames, and still circleing.
Practice makes perfect, in Phase 1, just about every Fokker used to do that, You could hit it with your full ammo allotment without result.
The only Sure way to shoot it down was hit it with a rocket.

You were NEVER Sure you got the claim, until the mission was over

It's said to be totally History, in Phase 3 :applause::applause::applause:

When I saw it after the tail feathers separated, it was clearly missing, just the stub of a fuse. A minute later, it was all growed back.

Actually, I did see that in the Missions mode, but after reading the sticky, I have been staying in Quick Combat or campaign and haven't seen the eternal flame since!:medals:

Zere you are! Vellcom, friend! Coffee or bier instead of tea; Champagne and brandy in zee evenings; ant ze best: you can paint der plane however you like! Vellcom in der Flyink Circus!!!

Another fiendish invention by that mad Black Baron chap no doubt. I'm afraid we cannot allow this recalcitrant behaviour to continue. It's not good for the morale of a chap or the war effort. We shall form a Black Baron Posse Squadron. The bounder has to go !

What about the planes that continue to fly after the pilot has jumped out. It turns into a ghost. You can shoot it all you want, but no hits register, like they go right through it!
