Thought this might interest the Constellation affecionado's - Same aeroplane (basically), same airline colours, same place, same spot view settings and time of day. Whose is whose? Be polite now!

Interesting to line them all up - Now I am not going into whose is better or bigger but you have to admit, they are all good in their own way.

Hmmm.... i'll go for A2A L-049, Manfred Jahn L-749, JF L-049 from top to bottom.

Any prices to win ? :teapot:

Alas No Prizes but well done Javis, correct they are A2A, Manfred Jahn and JF. Quite frankly they are all excellent renditions of the Connie as one can see by the perspective of wing/tail etc. Now I am spoilt rotten for choice actually. A2A and the Jahn go head to head in my estimate, the only difference is the VC rendition which is highly accurate for the A2A whereas the Jahn does rely on pop-ups but still has all the systems modelled perfectly and operational. Not sure about some minor details on the JF, namely the prop spinners and nose area. I did have two more but not in the Qantas colours so they were left out, ABACUS and FDFZ. So as you can see the search for the perfect Connie has seen me try (buy) them all.

I spent yesterday, yeah I know get a life (lol), running all three between Melbourne and Sydney. I was curious given that I have always thought the Jahn was the pick of the bunch before the A2A came along, sentimentality leaves my list with the Jahn model top of them but it is unfair because I really like the interactive modelling in the A2A (especially the way the flight attendant says hello before start up not sure about the whingeing co-pilot ) and the VC is superb. So If I want to fly the L049 it will be the A2A, the 749 the Jahn, the 1049 the Jahn and now and then if I want a cabin view the JF version. Just goes to show you I guess how good most models are and how hard it is to really lift a model to the A2A level as far as fidelity inside is concerned.

At the moment my aircraft menu is chock full of Constellations all varieties and it is amazing to see this aircraft so faithfully and beautifully made. Hats off to everybody!
