• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Today is the 68th Anniversary. We remember those who lost their lives on that fateful day.

I think I'm right in also passing on high praise and thanks to all those involved in the PHP2 project for building a virtual lasting memorial to this event.

Remember Pearl Harbor

War and Battle and the inevitable loss is never the decision that any nation would seek, nor is a war on the scale of World War II ever something that the world hopes to see repeated. The duty and honour of those who served and those who gave their lives was a gift of immense devotion and we nust always remember. It is our duty to be worthy of that gift and to strive in our lives and all our days to be better for it. Then they will not have died in vain.

A footnote to that event, read about the battle of Leyte gulf. the Japanese staged a feint and drew the main fleet away, then sailed up the gulf to chew up the landing force...and ran into 4 of the resurrected battleships from Pearl.

They got their rear end handed to them that night, way to go USS West Virginia and all the rest.:USA-flag:
