A different British "Heavy"

Has anyone ever thought of making a Vickers-Armstrong Windsor for CFS2, CFS3, FS2004 or FSX?

That's a neat looking bomber. Coming at the dawn of the jet age; it was, as the saying goes, a day late and a dollar short.

It would make a great plane for those "what if" missions of 1946.

Appealing Giants........Bigger is better.........well....Hmmmm

There was something about the going bigger near the end of the bomber prop age............probably payload drove up the size.

Vickers, Shorts.........and of course, there was the spruce goose.

There is something appealing about these giants.......but yet ....in the end ......not
necessary.......

At one point, I was seriouly considering a Shorts Shetland.......but a bridge to far

It seems to have similiar requirements as the Windsor.....British Armament obviously must have been trying for a very large prop nuclear bomber as were the Americans

...the XB-19 could be a war winning plane.

actually once they stuck the V-3420 engines on the plane....she was a much better bird

They didn't build in production, because the plane was so expensive in build time and material.
