Truly beautiful work! This will be a dilemma for me, as she's not really my cup of tea, but your attention to detail is simply amazing for the legacy warbird. You need to just release your Lancaster so I can stop reading this forum for a few months and fly that beast. Just great stuff gents, great art work indeed.

Thanks for the kind words. The Lancaster is through testing so it is imminent. I appreciate that the Axis aeroplanes are not as well received in some quarters but we feel that the technology and innovations used in subjects like the Heinkel deserve some recognition. Having spent some time with the HE111 now, I have come to admire the design work that went into it. After all, Reginald Mitchell felt so too and it would be difficult to find a more qualified admirer. The work done with elliptical surfaces provided him with the clues for another great aeroplane - ironically enough, one that was ultimately responsible for the demise of the Heinkel.:engel016:

Looks really stunning Bazz! Must have been quite a view to see the runway all around you when you are sitting on your glass surrounded balcony! Those German pilots must have felt vulnerable when sitting there during their missions.

Cheers,
Huub
