Rescued Helldiver headed to U.S. Navy

Drivers in the southern states may see, in the next few days, a flatbed truck carrying the wreckage of a Curtiss SB2C-4 Helldiver. It was recovered from the bottom of Lower Otay Reservoir in San Diego County, Calif., and is headed for the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Fla.

I've been casually following this story. I'm sure that when it's done, it'll look like a brand new plane. I'm always amazed at how many people that are passionate enough to rise to the occasion and put in so much work on a project like this. :salute:

well I won't see it drive by as they'll make the turn on 75 I'm sure to head south ... oh well.
