A little help here...

The time has arrived, I think, to install FSX on my computer. There are just too many beautiful planes out there now (or about to be released) to maintain my sole allegiance to FS9. Specifically, the upcoming AH Globe Swift and Dino's recent Aermachi, among others.
I own a copy of FSX Gold and I am wondering if this version is adequate to todays technological and modeling requirements. I know that my current rig will run FSX at acceptable FPS rates and I have a pretty good graphics processor (nvidia GTX640 w/4g onboard ram.
What can a, literally, poor boy do if & when he makes the jump to FSX?

Thanks,

LA

I use FSX Gold and have not had any troubles with it.
For many of todays planes, you need either SP1 and SP2, or Acceleration.....Gold includes Acceleration, so you will do fine.....

I agree completely. I run it in dx10.You would need
to get steves fixer,if you wanted to use dx10.I am very
happy with my setup.

Thanks for the advice. My GPU handles bot DX10 and DX11 so things should be okay. Working through a couple of RW issues right at the moment so I'll progressing soon.
