A Long Forgotten Jewel

Just rediscovered this one today while in the process of (slowly) reinstalling FS9 after being in Africa for two years of work for the Lord. It's still great, even in comparison to such beauties as the Bull Stearman and the Dynamic!

This is the Bugatti Adventures gamepack addon by William Ortis, Lionheart Creations Ltd. (INTRODUCTION) This is the classic adventures pack, originally created for FS2002. This package has 10 aircraft, 3 scenery installations, AI traffic, and 26 missions that bring you into the life of a air racer pilot back in the 1940's. It is centered around the wild and fantastic Bugatti air racer, a wild bullet shaped, 'rocket' like plane with twin dual opposed propellors and fitted with two 'Formula One' Grand Prix racing engines, each specially case in Magnesium for extremely light weight. They were dual overhead cam, straight eight engines, each fitted with a Super Charger, sporting phenominal torque that was fed into a large gear box in the nose of the plane which then poured the power into the dual opposed props at the nose cone. The aircraft was a marvel of aerospace technologies, featuring a V-tail, ram air cooling systems that kept the engines quite cool, retractable landing gear (designed to lower automatically), dual system flaps/spoilers, which could act as a clam shell braking system to swiftly bring the craft out of high speed for a corner manuvere, or the flaps could work along, with lower slat extending without uppers extending. The top back of the entire fuselage lifted off, giving the racing team engine technicians full access to the beast's mighty Grand Prix 'twin hearts'. The canopy of the racer basically lifted off. The fit of the pilot into the sleek, bullet like hull was like that of a glove with his view over the half round panel being 'tight'. This was indeed a unique craft. Package contents: * P100 Bugatti Air Racer * P110 French Interceptor * P110 Prototype Aluminum Construction Airframe Variant * P200 Modern Day Turboprop (What if.....) * Air Racer 'June Bugs Dream' * Air Racer 'Michaels Winged Warrior' * Air Racer 'Kates Lion' * Air Racer 'Kates Lion II' * Air Racer 'Kruezers Komet' Additional: * Cessna AW Series (Used in AI air traffic Vehicles: * Bugatti Type 35C Compresseur 'Grand Prix' race car * Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe' avec Compresseur Scenery * Bugatti vintage air field with 2 large pylons approximately 5 miles apart * Bugatti Residence and manor; Large home that you can drive to along the roads from the airfield * Bugatti 'What If....' vacation home on a mountain overlooking Cannes France * Various locations of Bugatti vintage 'Bullet Trains' (between 3 and 5 units between Alsace and Paris France). [FLIGHT NOTES] * You 'must' slow down from top speed to start turning (use spoilers/clam shell airbrakes). Control surfaces are 25% effective at 500+ knots. * Using 'both' Flaps and Spoilers effect the model adversely. Do not use them at the same time. * You must load up the Flight Plans seperately into here; C:\Documents and Settings\'You' Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft Games\FS9 folder This package is not FSX supported and will not be. This is offered as freeware as of the 25th of December, 2007. Merry Christmas to the guys (and gals) of the Sim Outhouse! God Bless! William Ortis Lionheart Creations Ltd.

That's where I just installed them from. They're great!

I've never forgotten Lionheart's Cessna AW packages, or his Aeronca LWC package or his Fairchild F-24 packages (especially the one with the bubble cowl...that plane is simply stunning to look at). I would love to see him revisit the Aeronca and Fairchild with the skills he has today.....that would be sim perfection in my book.

FSXing?...heck I'd be happy to see them in FS9 with Lionheart's current modeling standards.

Can't seem to download the Bugatti program. The link doesn't work and I can't find it. Is there a better link? Thanks.

My fault. It's been a long while since I've been to the soh download area and I forgot how it worked with the additional window. Got it this time. Thanks.
