...Clive, I just did a quick Combat in your BoB Alpha mod and it wuz really sumpin!! *Me and 4 mates against 5 Emils... You have those Hurrys set up GREAT ---just enuf power (leaned a bit) and Ive always felt more at home in your VC -jolly great time -quite immersive as well....
In time Ill try to give more critique but for now I'm off to try and bag a few more Jerries -*(that's Me= me)

Would someone clarify this for me, please! In the READ ME for the BoB install it says:

Alternative Quick Combat start Locations.
There many hundreds of RAF airfields in the BoB world but only the main ones active during the battle can be accessed through the Quick Combat screen (although they all exist in the scenery). To activate these so that they can be flown from in Quick Combat back up the existing qclocations.xml file and rename and replace it with the alternative_qclocations.xml. Both files are in the root BoB directory.


YES, as it says, BOTH files are already there, BOTH! How do I change the name (alternative_qclocations.xml) of the file already there to replace the qclocations.xml file?

First, you must remember that you can't have two files with the same name. So, rename qclocations to something like original_qclocations (system will not find it, now) and then rename alternative_qclocations to qclocations and you have just pulled a switcheroo!

Hi RC,

In the main BoB install folder near the bottom you will find a file called 'qclocations.xml.

Click on it once to highlight it then right click and a menu will appear. At the bottom it says 'rename'. change the name to something else, I usually put an 'x' in front so it becomes xqclocations.xml. This way cfs3 will ignore it.

Then find the 'alternative_qclocations.xml' and repeat the procedure but this time rename this one to read 'qclocations.xml'

You will then have a list of airfields just as you would see in the ETO install.

Clive, did a great job setting up the scenery for BOB, I do enjoy crashing into the scenery..
whenever I manage to bail out and have a look around..It always looks GREAT!!!
