A Messerschmitt for the fast guys.

At the A2A forum a person asked whether somebody could do a repaint for the A2A Messerschmitt depicting the V14 prototype flown by Ernst Udet during the Zurich International aviation meeting in 1937. Although the V14 was not an Bf109E3 it looks quite similar.
Due to a broken oil line this aircraft crashed during the meeting.

I have just uploaded this repaint here and at Avsim.

Well actually the previous 4 repaints I uploaded earlier were already on my hard-disk for a while. I hate the process of making a package and uploading. I have at least 4 finished repaints for Bruno Escavage's Spitfire on my hard disk, but I can't find the courage to write the readme files and upload them.

This repaint looked very simple at the start, but took much more time than thought as in the paintkit all air-intakes were light blue and I wanted to change some panel lines (which most probably nobody will notice).

There is an alternative texture in the package for those who wish to fly this repaint without the historical tail markings. I forgot to mention this in the read-me. That's why I hate to write readme files. You always forget something!

Some people claim the D-ISLU was blue....

As more prototypes were painted this colour, I consider it very possible as well. The only pictures from the V14 are in B&W and there is quite a difference between the red from the tail and the colour from the aircraft! (However I am sure Udet did wear a white jumpsuit ;))

Therefore...... anybody interested?

Thanks for all the nice words guys. Rene to change the red D-ISLU into the blue D-ISLU, I only had to change the colour of the base colour layer and add some walkway borders. So this wasn't really that much effort ;).

When you want to fly this aircraft in a nice environment, try the Alps around Innsbruck in Austria. Long valleys and try to remember which valley you will have to take otherwise you won't find your airfield anymore (speaking from experience).
