My FS9 has been just beautiful on this new rig...I have every slider to the right and traffic at 100%..Even fllying in real world weather with AS6 in heavy clouds my frames locked at 35,it never falls below 30..

But,with the edition of running my second monitor now for guages dragged over,when I use my Hat switch or the numbers keys to look around..There is a big flash of each view before it displays again...Its very brief..But there

I thought it was AA or AF but changing those values does nothing for this...

Any thoughts? I am using a 4870X2 Vid card ......

Added...It seems to be related to AS and cloud cover...........

Man... You are getting into the exotic realms of flight simming! :d


I am thinking that you are pushing the limits on the system and ram with all the screens and things going on.

To test this hypothesis, lower screen resolutions to something really low, like 1024 X 768 or 800 X 600. Then turn off clouds... Boot up and fly. See if this is still happening.

Then back to normal resolution settings, still no clouds, test again. I think that they will only flash when the clouds are back up and running...


Clouds and Autogen were some major components (stumbling blocks) for us when FS9 first came out. So if you have special exotic clouds and planes and dual screens running at max resolution on giant monitors, then I think you are coming close to the limit..


But....! This is coming from a guy who knows very little about computers.. I only make the donuts.. errr.. planes.. :d

I think you're right Bill..If I turn my second monitor off it stops...

Oh well.its another trade off...If I want to run two monitores I'll just have to live with it for now...

Hmmm..I wonder if i7 ans FS11 will make everything perfect???? LOL

FS11 will need hardware that won't be invented for another 10 years. I hear the new Intel i7s are really nice though.

Actually I have heard that FS11 will be made more for the masses and should run on more common machines as it will have a whole new engine...

But..Time will tell on that.......:faint:
