'A Parrot'

That is quite a story, I read a story awhile back about a Parrot who woke a family up because their house was on fire.

When I was a kid, friends had a parrot that could mimic the whistle they used to call the dog.
It would whistle up the dog, which would come running, and then tell it "Down...Lie down!" and Spot would slink down and lie there till someone rescued it.
Birdbrain...

when i was in high school my buddy had a raven at home..he never told me about it...invited me over..but in the mean time he left to go to the store..i beat him to the house..so no one was home..i knocked on the door and heard..please step in..so i did..then i said hello..and heard in return...hello..welcome to my home...i wandered all over the house and saw no one around cept this HUGE black bird and it was glarin at me..and was not in a gage...just as i stepped back outside..my friend drove up..said..hey were you in the house..said yes and told him what i heard...he says...the bird cant talk....:faint:.. so i siad hello....and the bird repeted what it had said before...he almsot had a heart attcak....LOL

That's funny Dave. Seems you woke up the birds gift to gab. A friend years ago had a parrot that swore like a sailor. That darned bird embarrassed thenm every time someone came to the house. And to top it off, it learned to answer the phone. Imagine that mess. :costumes:
