A question about disableing core parking in Windows 7

I've run across an article on UltimateComputers.net Forum about disableing core parking in multi core processor computers running Windows 7 as a way to improve performance in certain games. I was wondering if anyone had tried this for FSX and did it work? I don't really want to mess around in the registry only to have it not work and then have to go to the trouble to change it back. Guess I'm just not ready to be a guinea pig on this one.

I guess it helps some. I was looking more for smoothness than high frame rates. If I set frame rates to unlimited I can get anywhere from single digits to triple digits in the same flight in a short span of time which makes for very jerky scenery. I've set the upper limit to 35 and that helps smooth it out to some degree.
