A question about the Captain Sim Exterior C-130

Some time back, Captain Sim released a C-130 that included the exteror.and cabin textures, but no VC. Flightsim.to has a LOT of Captain Sim C-130 liveries, but I believe the majority, if not all of them, are specifically for the "Exterior" model. Is Capatin Sim preventing the creation of liveries for their C-130s with VCs? It's crazy. I see a lot of cool liveries, but useless to me because I neither own nor want the VC-less C-130. NC

I don't think so, I'm using an RCAF livery on the J model, but I had to change the config to point to the J, since it was made for the H.

Well, CS got so much backlash, that they did away with the policy of not allowing repaints. Repaints for all their models are working just fine now.

And in the meantime, they released a rather nice H model with a VC, there's quite a few repaints available for it too!

I have the E model with the VC. I messed up when I bought it (with 0 income, I can only buy payware when I get a gift or something. and it was on sale for like $12) by buying the E rather than the H by mistake. The H seemed to have the most repaints available but the E, not so much. I've tried to make some of the H repaints show on the E but no joy...

I have had the E model since it came out. I managed to get the TSS Sound pack for the model for FSX/P3D to work perfectly using the auto_json.exe program. It is actually very enjoyable now.

Well, not knowing any better, I got the H model with VC and loaded up all the repaints of immediate interest.
All of them showed up with the forward upper fuse painted black.
Aargh what to do?
Turns out: not much.
I restarted the sim and tried again, all the paints showed up.
Go figure, perhaps I faced East this time.

...but I spoke too soon it seems.

I actually bought the model specifically for this repaint.
Can anyone cast light on what gives here?

Charl, as I recall, there is a file that has a fix for the black fuselage problem. I would search the CS-130 thread during the period the plane was first released around 7/2024.

Thank you both, makes a big difference when you know it's not inside your system.
The fix works, and is also available on FS.TO I see.
I have never come across a description of a posted fix quite as vitriolic as the one accompanying that download.
