Dear Mr Donker,

I have followed all of your WWll airfields in England, I have a request, do you think you would be interested in creating the RAF airfield at Sandtoft? This field was the home of the Avro Manchester Bomber prototype when it was under going testing, the Manchester later became the Lancaster. I saw a web site for the museum at Sandtoft with a number of pictures there. Thank you for your interest in the future.

found this, looks like the airfield was built long after the Mancester was withdrawn from RAF service, testing for the Manchester was probably done at the Avro works at Woodford,

Ian is right!!! I am wrong, I am very sorry, after looking up the Avro Manchester it was built and first flew from Ringway Airport City of Manchester UK 1939, I have seen very little airport scenery of Manchecter but it is moderan. I have seen pictures of the Ringway airport taken 1939, Avoe moved there to build the prototype Manchester and Fairly Airplane company also moved there .
