A small scenery for Monte Cassino Abbey and surrounding area. I made the abbey as a scenery object bgl with FSDS and placed it at the correct Lat/Long
form Google Earth, E13*48'47 N41*29'24

Ive included a basic landing ground at Venafro, about 10 miles SE of Cassino. take off and bank north though the mountain's and

Im using Richard Ludowise ( rhumbaflappy ) cfs2 mesh although any good mesh of the area should be ok, but there is the possibility
that this may not work as well with a stock install

If anyone wants to try and use this in CFS2, you welcome but don't ask me how as im not sure myself. Ive included the FSDS fsc file
if that's any use to anyone, although its not to scale, I had to increase its size x3 when placing the scenery object

You probably have these already, but im using "UT - Library objects FS9.zip" my conversion to FS9 of UncleTgt CFS2 objects, found in the
FS9 scenery library

Ive also done a basic traffic file using David Molyneaux Auster 1, look for "TAYLORCRAFT - MODEL D/1 AUSTER 1 FOR FS9.zip" in the
FS9/military props section of lib

Thanks Ian. There was an other FS9 scenery including the Monte Cassino Abbey and was named "LIRH Aquino".

Dam, i missed that, i had a look all over the download sites but could'nt find anything. i could have saved myself a lot of work, and it looks more accurate than mine.
Oh well, these things happen

Many thanks Ian...great to have landmarks to overfly and head to.

Thoughts maybe of the Berghof/Eagles Nest or the Wolfsschanze?...or too contentious.....

Cheers

That's an other one:

In fact it's a FSX addon. I had to use FS Global 2010, otherwise the scene wouldn't be halfway suitable. Furthermore I flattened the top of th hill.
