I've noticed something weird as I was playing the last week or so and just wanted to bring it to your consideration as it was especially noticable today.
I was flying behind enemy lines in my Spad 7 with two wingman when I ran into a couple of flights of huns. One set of about 5 Albatross somethings and a flight of about 4 Pfalz's. Since I am still playing around before I try a "full bore" realistic campaign, I dove in. After several passes, I settled in with two of the pfalz's and we go back and forth. As I am checking my six, I see there is not a lot going on there. Eventually, I put them both down and look around to see... nothing... After a while I click on the radar and look around to see two groups of fighters circling around about a mile apart from each other and a mile away from me. They aren't really going anywhere, just kind of cirlcling around on the deck. I also notice that one of my wingmen is moseying around with them! They are all sort of maneuvering around with him, but there is no shooting going on.
Now I understand that most fights in the Great War broke up undecisively, but I see this type of A.I. behavior all the time. I know that the computer pilots are probably limited to real visibility restraints like we are, but my whirly-twirly flight should have been pretty visible, especially on the way down to the deck, I should have been a pretty easy target. Has anyone else been getting this or can the developers shed some light on A.I. behavior when the lose contact in a fight?
Thanks, still loving it, just want it to be the best it can!
