A weird cowinkeedink?

Here's one that can be marked as a weird cowinkeedink (coincidence for those who don't speak hillbilly):

Yesterday, our new living room furniture came home. This is the first time Deb has ever had brand new living room furniture....and she was OH so happy! It looks great in our living room and is super comfy.

About the time our new furniture was coming in the door, we saw the first Blue Bird of the year. The Blue Bird has long been associated with happiness. Deb and I enjoy watching all the varieties of birds that visit our bird feeders and fly about our place...and as colorful as "our" Blue Birds are, we would have noticed them if they had returned already.

New furniture delivery = return of the Blue Birds to our little slice of heaven.

Now how's that for a weird cowinkeedink?

While on the topic of Blue Birds...yesterday evening, Deb was out sitting on the patio sucking up some sun. She hollers in the window "Honey, look at the Blue Bird sitting on our flag pole". We have a flag pole mounted at an angle off our patio railing and have the US Flag flying in the breeze. Sitting on the little plastic Eagle on the tip of the flag pole, was a male Blue Bird. He was no more than 6 feet from where Deb was sitting in her patio chair. That pretty boy was totally comfortable being that close to Deb, did not fly away when she hollered in the window, did not fly away when I walked up to the screen door....which was maybe 3 feet from where the bird was perched. He sat there for several minutes, then flew off to one of the bird feeders to join his mate. They are building a nest down in one of the trees in the meadow that our house over looks. A new generation of Blue Birds for us to enjoy watching.
