To all,

I may get my wish here in good ol' New England. I'm looking at a solid foot to two feet of snow Saturday night into Sunday. The upshot? Plenty of time to work on missions over a couple of mugs of hot cocoa. :icon_lol:

Yep, looks good to me as I live near Boston in the suburbs. I am off all this week, so the more snow the better. :mixedsmi:

I live in West roxbury,MA 02132. i think we wont get as much as you but ya never know. :jump:

:salute: Here in southeastern Virginia we have an inch and a half with freezing rain in the forcast for the morning. I hope the power lines hold up!

Rami,

Thank you, thank you, thank you...for your excellent work on your modified missions and all the work you have done for the Out House. All the best in the new year.

We have around 20cm here, that’s a lot for my part of Germany; it’s still freezing 16F or -9°C. I hope the snow will stay until Christmas because the forecast say’s it will get warmer next week.

As I live near Wolfi, the snow situation is more or less the same.
Only drawback is, all my friends pull me out to the
"Weihnachtsmarkt", to have a few cups of mulled wine.

Tonight I will even have another speciality: Feuerzangenbowle

Even, if you managed to stay sober the whole year, the last weeks in the year will definately turn you into an admiral of the red!!

:icon29:

12 inches on the ground in DC with 12 more expected, Rami. :bump:

If you don't get enough up there, come on down! We got room!:running:

Once it stops I will have to get the shovels out, but until it stops, I will be working on McGuire and Bong missions.

I have 11 Bong and 2 McGuire built. Bong is current on R&R in Australia, and McGuire just got his first 3 in yesterdays missions. He is on the road to 4 more in the missions I am working on today.

Any test pilots out there that could add the DYN files to the missions?

It's looking like it for some parts of the UK too.

Although I've been away I rang home and was informed they'd had 10 inches since Thursday night!!!!!!! With more on the way this weekend.

There is supposed to be some snow on the way, but you never know here. I got the plow on my atv, she's working great.....sure sign that it's gonna rain.

Very interesting :jump: Thanks for sharing Jaxon :ernae::ernae:

Up in NW Wisconsin it has wared up into the mid 20's Fahrenheit snow has been on the ground sense around Thanksgiving and we shall have snow on Christmas eve night :wiggle::wiggle::wiggle: Lots of Nordic tradition way up hear :bump::bump:

Marry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and your's on and all.

Well, if you are in Hamburg, I'm in "Leer" until 28th, that's 220km away, so it's nice to hear that's white at home also.

Well, I'm still alive and kicking (I know....damn!) and it looks like we have 12+ inches on the ground with another half-foot expected. Church was canceled this morning for the first time in three years.

Yikes! I guess that is coming this way. It may turn to rain. If it is going to snow, may as well go big! Sorry ya missed church Rami, be careful, a fella can used to saying home on Sunday!:ernae:

I flew across America from East to West yesterday on my way home for Christmas leave. I kept a close eye on airport closures and it looked like the East Coast was getting hit hard with several airfield snow closures in the Washington DC area.

Made it home late last night and now I'm enjoying an early morning cup of coffee at home!

No snow here in the Northwest, just drizzle and cloudy skies. I'll keep my fingers crossed for snow as I'd like to get up for a day of skiing over the Holidays.

Jag i am so glad you made it home, i was praying you mght have some leave and see family. God Bless you and yours.
You guys all stay warm and ...well, lubricated :) :ernae: Holiday Cheer is one of the great gifts. Here in the high mountains of Colorado we have snow all over the place as usual, what is unusual here is the cold, rarely gets above 20 degrees F, and the lakes and even many of the streams are frozen deep, the skiing is great up at Wolf Creek, but i think the wolves are staying indoors for now :) Great to hear all the details from you all, my family in Austria is celebrating with the usual things...Weihnachtsbaeckerei (christmas coookies with a very long name), Sachertorte, Saint Nicholas, the giver of gifts, makes his rounds arrayed in a glittering robe and accompanied by his devilish assistant, Knecht Rupnecht, children are taught that their presents have been brought by the "Kristkindl," a golden-haired baby with wings, who symbolizes the new born Christ. The story tells how the Christ child comes down from heaven on Christmas Eve and, with his band of angels, decorates and distributes trees. In the country, Farmers chalk the initials of the Three Wise Men on the archway of the stable door; C for Caspar, M for Melchoir, and B for Balthazar, to protect the animals from sickness in the coming year. Christmas trees are lit on this day and in many villages costumed wayfarers plod through deep snow from farm to farm re-enacting the plight of Mary and Joseph as they sought shelter on the eve of Christ's birth.

Most Austrian churches hold a Midnight Mass and in olden times, peasants would come down from their mountain homes in a torch lit procession. In the Tyrol region of Austria Children would set out a pan of milk for the Christ Child and his mother. A common Christmas tradition in Austria is Turmblasen, when brass instruments are played at in a church steeple or other tower, so the music can carry to all the people of the village. Another common holiday custom in Austria is “Showing the Christ Child,” where a manger is carried from house to house by people singing Christmas Carols

After Christmas Eve dinner, the Christmas Tree is unveiled. Father opens the Bible and reads of the "Kristkindl," Christ Child. Then all sing traditional Christmas carols such as "Silent Night" and "O'Tannenbaum." After this the presents are distributed and opened

Froliche Weinhnachten! (Merry Christmas)

I just left Boston to come back home to "sunny" Buffalo, NY. I was there on business and spent two days getting ribbed about how much snow we get here. Right now, I still have grass showing on my lawn. I guess I will call my business associates in Boston and tease them a little.

Regardless of where you live, or religion you practice, may everyone have a safe and Happy Holidays.

Jagd,
Glad you are home for the holidays brother! We got plenty of snow on the east coast to ski in.

CrisGer, I have relatives in Durango and Pagosa. Used live in Farmington, NM. I know Wolf Creek and Telluride fairly well. Excellent skiing in the winter and excellent golfing in the summer.
