Hi,

I just noticed that A2A updated Accusim to work with P3D V4.1 around for weeks ago, which includes the aircraft

- B377 “Stratocruiser” (original release)
- B377 “Captain of the Ship”
- Piper J3 “Cub”
- P-47 “Razorback”
- B-17 “Flying Fortress”
- Supermarine “Spitfire”
- P-40 “Warhawk”
- P-51 “Military” Mustang
- P-51 “Civilian” Mustang
- C172 “Trainer”
- Piper Cherokee "180"
- C182 "Skylane"
- Piper 'Comanche" 250
- North American T-6 "Texan"
- Captain of the Ship Lockheed L049 "Constellation"

This is great, now I can get some favourite AC to work again!

Cheers,
Mark

I believe there might be a little misunderstanding. The A2A warbirds are not compatible with P3Dv4 yet. This core update simply updates all of the detected aircrafts in any sims, but I don't think it will make the Mustang or Spit work in v4... but I could be mistaken.
Here is a quote from their forums, dated from the 9th of November:

Hello,

as of date of this post we do not produce a P-51 for the P3D platform. The P-51 is an FSX product as noted on the store page and manual etc.

We are looking to release new P3D products in the future, check out the P3D section of the store for the P3D simulations software;

thanks,

Hmm, you could be right.

I don't look at very posting there. Then the text in the announcement is quite misleading:

"This one A2A Update detects and updates our entire fleet of Accu-Sim aircraft for FSX/P3Dv1-4." (the AC list above follows)

and directly refering to V4.1:

4/13/2017 - 10/12/2017 CHANGES:
- Fixed physics bug for Prepar3DV4.1 users
Note: please ensure that you have updated Prepar3D to V4.1 standard before applying this update.

Oh well. I tried and installed a few aircraft I have. The B377 seems to basically work, also the P-47 with a few sounds missing. The Conny also flies, but sans COS functions as I think.

Cheers,
Mark

I opened the installer and it does have an option for P3Dv4. I didn't actually run the install, so I can't say what does what, or not.

It tries to update the accusim dll in the gauges folder. It only worked when I made a gauges folder under the p3d-root\a2a folder and put the old dll in there. And pointed the installer to the p3d root folder. Probably not how this is supposed to work :)

Somthing is definitely wrong!

Mark

I ran the updater 10-12-2017 in my p3dv4.1 folder to update the following planes: comanche, 172, 182, Cherokee, T6 and Connie. The updater opens, i select "p3dv4" in the list, points to the A2A folder where the planes are and it gives me a message that it updated everything but nothing were updated at all. There is something wrong with the updater endeed in my opinion.

Only their P3D aircraft are updated to 4.1. This only includes the Connie, Texan, Comanche, C182, Cherokee, and C172. Though the FSX aircraft are also updated, it's not for P3D, just random fixes for FSX. The rest of the aircraft will slowly be released for P3D. Next up is the Spitfire. And no, they won't be updates. You have to purchase them.

I ran the updater last month, and my Connie, Texan, and Comanche work fine. It just updates that dll file for P3D.

Curious how you know that? I tried Mark's method above (after originally trying an install a few days ago) but it gave me a pop-up stating that it couldn't find the dll... that was right in the folder I pointed the installer to. I checked the properties of the dll before and after this latest attempt to update and the dates were certainly changed... shows the dll was modified today. All I have installed now is the P3D C182 and Comanche.

I agree with Mark... probably not how its supposed to work. Guess I'll try verifying by flying (of course, there are worse things than being forced to fly an A2A aircraft :wiggle: ).

Does the Estonia tool work now with v4.1? How are you installing A2A into 4.1....I'm talking FSX P-51, P-40, and Spitfire. Thanks!

Which aircraft, Pat?

Apparently all six P3D aircraft were affected, Roger, the C172, C182, Cherokee, Comanche, Texan, and Connie, though I (and Scott of A2A) had no trouble turning the Connie. Maybe it's all of those rudders! I only have the latter three.

Well, I pointed the installers just to the P3d V 4.1 root folder. I must say that I have a dummy fsx.exe in it and a fake fsx registry entry. But that's all it took, even for the old P-47 and the Boeing 377.

Cheers,
Mark

None of the aircraft other than the six I have mentioned will work properly in P3D v4 or v4.1. Those warbirds were never developed for P3D. They expect to release a new P3D version of the Spitfire soon.

When P3D went to 4.1, A2A aircraft couldn't be turned when taxing. Now they can. The updated dll fixed it.

Thanks... I recall the no-turning issue with 4.1 but that didn't effect my install of the 182 and Comanche. They always turned fine in 4.0 and 4.1 (lucky I guess). Hopefully all I experience with the 10_12_17 update is just a little redundancy.
