Aerostar Bonus – MSFS2020 Version
By popular request from our community, you asked for it and we listened, we’ll also be providing a MSFS2020 version of the Aerostar. This means our loyal MSFS2020 users will be able to enjoy the same high-fidelity Accu-Sim experience and systems depth, tailored to the MSFS2020 platform, at no extra cost.

  • Included free with the MSFS2024 product download for all existing customers.
  • Development is already underway.
  • Some features native to MSFS2024 (like walkaround and dynamic dirt/wear visuals) will not be available in MSFS2020, but the MSFS2020 version will include the full Accu-Sim fidelity and systems depth wherever the platform supports it.
  • We may use a light Early Access model for this version, similar to the 2024 release.

Sigh. I hate it when the market splits. Means development time goes into supporting two sims instead of more products for the newest sim.

(I know MS brought this on themselves with the rocky 2024 launch. Hopefully, given how good SU3 is overall, SU4/5 will get things solid enough soon that only a small percentage of people who just don’t upgrade will stick with 2020 after this year.)

Now do think it's that bad, this shows that converting something back from MS2024 is not so difficult then some developers claim.
Even A2A claimed first that it's impossible to convert it back and... now they do.

Show also that MSFS2024 is still not fully developed.

Also noticed that since i bought MSF2024, i own now several planes in MSFS2022 which i never bought...

The conversion is doable, but that doesn't mean it's not work that holds back features from the FS2024 version because of the conversion effort and the need to keep two versions up-to-date.

Oh well. FS2024 is nearly there for free flight (only the photogrammetry LODs are a serious issue in SU3), so hopefully the vast majority of y'all will move forward later this year and the "dual versions" development can end.

(I know some people will stubbornly stick with 2020 no matter what. I remember seeing folks making freeware planes for FS2004 a decade after FSX shipped.)

Anyway, glad y'all will be able to enjoy the Aerostar, and you won't have to do the stupid "it was fun maybe twice" FS2024 walkaround.
