A2A B17 "cockpit with character" re-paint?

Seeing as we have such talented and prolific painters gracing this forum with their presence, I just want to throw something out there and see if any of you are at all interested. After seeing this thread.. http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=22392 ... I thought it would be great to have a cockpit with the feel and character to match some of the great exterior paints done for the "Fortess". I even started my own thread over there and got some interest in actually doing this but it looks like the the person who was going to try it lost interest or moved on to other projects. Who knows, maybe he ran into a problem he couldn't solve. In any case, just thought I would present the idea here and see if it attracted any interest. Thanks for reading.

The person you mentioned, Steve, did a lot of nice repaints ("Naths Repaints") and I used to check on his website http://nathansfsxrepaints.webeden.co.uk/ frequently.

Now the website is unavailable - I hope Nath is OK.

I agree with you, would be great if cockpits could get an equal weathered and worn treatment like Jan's exterior models, for example!

Cheers,
Mark

I added the 360 view from your link to my collection thread, cheers.

I've spent quite some time looking thru your collection, I love that kind of stuff.

Last I heard he was moving to new digs, also someone said he was still active painting the CS 707.

I would be interested in such a paint, too!

The only hint I could provide is this:

Try to contact the author of these paints, because he did a great job in the A2A Piper Cub Cockpit, exactly what we would like to see for the B-17.

Thanks all

OK, the gentleman Flyingfarmer refers to seems to be Urs Burkhardt. There is someone with that name on Facebook but not sure it's the same guy, I don't have a facebook account. I'll dig around some more.

Thanks, now I just need a German interpreter :blind:. About the only thing new I learned was he evidently goes by Urs "Maloney" Burkhardt . Oh well, there are plenty of talented painters who are active on this forum, so maybe one of them will hopefully take an interest. I'm pretty good with the computer but as an artist I truly $uck.

Seems his website was down for a redesign, the new one looks quite different.
Came to the right place at the wrong time :)

Glad all is well.
