This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the first colors of 43-10310 of the USAAF. C/n 1962 was the one of the first C-69's delivered to the USAAF in 1943. It started flying in TWA colors in 1944, but with its military serial. It made a record breaking flight from Burbank to Washington DC on 17 April 1944, with Howard Hughes as pilot. It was allocated to Transcontinental & Western as NC38936, but remained on the USAAF...
