"Slick"Penrose, of Orland CA, who flew with the 504th Fighter Squadron, 339th Fighter Group, from Fowlmere, UK. The name Beaver Chant was derived from Slick’s university, Oregon State, where the sports teams are known as “Beavers” with the chant being the supporters’ encouragement chant.
