Another great one, and one of my "go-to's" for years now, is "a2a_p40_shiny.zip" by TJ Stanley, available here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=187&linkid=13577

It's somewhat based on how The Fighter Collection's P-40C (based at Duxford, UK) looked immediately following the completion of its restoration at Chino by California Aerofab, several years back, prior to the additional unit markings being added that it now wears.

P40 Shiny metal

Ohhh MaMa!

Thanks Bomber_12th for this one.
I noticed in the readme there are two other options with teeth and a low shine.
The instructions on activating those textures left me with a trial and error predicament.
For the shiny with teeth - I had to create a texture folder with teeth then add the texture from the default texture : shiny no teeth
I may of done this the hard way - These were taken from P3D V3.4

TJ Stanley's shiny P-40 textures are the perfect base paint for making The Fighter Collection's P-40C (G-CIIO). Had a hell of a time getting the '160' on the top and bottom of the leading edge to match up tho:dizzy:

Thanks MZee! TJ Stanley hasn't been active on SOH for about 4 years so I'm not sure if it would be ok to upload a modified version of his texture. The readme included with his textures says "mod the scheme to your liking" so I think I'll be ok if I credit him.

My sentiments exactly. I'm sure TJS would view this as a huge compliment, as well.
 
It's so great to see it in the full markings as it is today, and I too would love a copy of those modified textures, FooFighter!
