Abacus Broke My P3D

. . . .actually I probably broke it, but it was an Abacus installation that did it. I downloaded the Beech 1900D from Abacus. I noticed it was done by Dave Eckert and figured it would be a solid airplane. I installed it and ran the "Try before you Buy" module (it installs a file that tracks the 7day free trial). I completed the installation and started the sim. . ."Fatal Error" (fault module name=api.dll). Grrrr. . .I tried everything, including "repair" to no avail. I uninstalled the airplane, rebooted the PC and tried again. . ."Fatal Error". I moved the Prepar3D.cfg file and let the sim build a new one. . ."Fatal Error". . .all fatal errors connected with the api.dll. . .but I would almost bet that isn't the real problem. I think the trial module has a lot to do with it. My only recourse now is to do a complete reinstall of P3D. Ughhh!

Abacus of course, should have known

Doesn't P3D have the equivalent of dll.xml and exe.xml? If so, I would look in there for offenders.
No, I found the problem. When Abacus installs an airplane it also installs a file called "AbacusPremierCollection.dll" in the root folder. If I remove that file the sim loads. . .however if I remove that file, the only part of the aircraft that loads in the 2D panel. . .no interior/VC and no exterior. Stupid.
