AC help!

Inspired by all these amazing screenies i thought i'd try AC again. Obviously there's a lotta new stuff for me to enjoy since more than a year ?..... ( saw a bunch of wonderful Ferrari cars, clicked 'em, transported to the shop, pay up.... that's new... ;-)

Also back on the ATS road, my Logitech G 27 works fine here. In AC it seems i can only get the wheel to be recognised and it works too in AC, kind of.. However I can get no response from neither the throttle pedal nore the brake pedal in AC. Tried both selecting the G27 preset with and without the shifter. Tried default preset too and even others, nothing, nada, niente, zero. On the track the car reacts like somebody else is driving it ! :dizzy:

All that works more or less correctly in AC is the steering wheel, when i push the throttle or the brake pedal something irratic happens too, shift flippers also react idiotic.

I'm on W7/64bit. AC crashed too when i tried to drive for the first time after selecting a car and a track.

Just love to know if this is 'normal' and if there's a possible solution ?.... ( i seem to remember from my first experience with AC, a year or so ago, setting up the G27 didn't go that well neither...)

Thanks very much ! ( what i saw of AC itself during these hairraising experiences looked pretty amazing ! )

@ Ferry : you have a G27 too, don't you ?.... How's your experience with it in AC ?

Thanks!

Cheers,
Jan

Hey jan, I'm still using my good old G25, and it works perfectly in AC. Both settings in the Logitech Profiler and in Assetto Corsa itself are pretty much default for me.
Stupid question perhaps, but did you give a name to your controller profile and saved before going to the track?

AC does sometimes not load or crash when using certain mods, like cars made for older versions of the game (Current version is 1.15.x) or like I found out recently, some graphic filters that I had installed. Had to remove a few files and retrieve the originals through Steam before I could drive again.

Thanks, Ferry !

No use to save the profile if the brake and throttle are not recognised. All i get from these input windows is ' waiting for input' .....

Ah, Ok, you have the older G25.... You did not have any difficulty getting a brake and throttle pedal respons then ?..

Tried the G25 preset too but no respons neither, well, only the wheel again..

Btw, i do get a brake and throttle respons from the smaller input screen left of and beneath the main input screen. Non from the main input screen though. Funny huh..... Shouldn't happen, should it..... either you get an input result or you don't. Not a result in one input screen and non in the other..... Funny guys these Italians as Obelix would say...

Do you know by any chance if others have a problem with the G27 in AC ?...

Btw(2), this all with a virgin AC straight from Steam, no mods or anything ( if i can get that G27 working i'll sure buy this Ferrari pack ! ;-)

Thanks,mate !

Hey Jan, for what its worth, here are my controller settings:

It's working ! :encouragement:

Followed a tip i saw at Steam AC Discussion to reinstall the G27 software. I did and got the throttle and brake input right away.

Now trying to tweak the steering wheel feel via Gamma/Filter/Sensitivity. ATM it's way too sensitive. Touch it and end up on the bank/shoulder already. I see you don't use those steering settings yourself ? Your wheel feels Ok then ?....

Ok, off to get my dirty hands on that Ferrari pack.
Thanks much for helping me out, Ferry ! :ernaehrung004:

cheers,
Jan

Yep, feels like a real car to me. Do you use the full rotation in both AC and the Logitech profiler settings?
