AC type at carson AP..carson city NV

There are 8 large twin engined aircraft on the south side of the carson city airport (visable in the lastest google earth)..anyone have any idea of what they are?.....

They look like HU-16's to me. Though it's just a guess.

That was a tough ID - took me a while to start thinking Grumman, then seaplane. Not expecting to see that type at an airport in Nevada. And to think the Navy used to pay me for photo interpretation!

i thought maybe they were grumman planes in HU-16 range..but dey look sooooooooooo big
