Now this is a game I've waited for a while. While it is not a heavy duty sim, it's still pretty damn beautiful game.

This is pretty much the final nail in the coffin for Ace Combat. I've already seen "DogFight Mode" *DFM*. It a rip from The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces's Tactical Combat Maneuvers *TCMs*. I blew threw The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces with a Gamecube controller in less than a day. I could fly circles around AI beacuse I had skills and no need for the handicaped TCM.

The TCMs and DFM are nothing more than a system that let the game put you right behind the enemy. I didn't even need the TMCs tell the vary last ace in The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces.

Also, what the hell is with this oil that sticks to the screen? Can we cater to the First Person Shooters that are use to seeing blood stick to the screen after killing a "thing" some more?

Hopefully the PSP and 3DS will stay true to Ace Combat but the console Ace Combat died after Ace Combat 6 for Xbox 360.

looks like fun it says will be for ps3 aswell i may have to pickup this game which it comes out! :salute:

last game that was any good on ps3 i played i think was Brothers in arms hells highway and metal gear solid

i have not played ps3 games in a long time none of the Need for speed games are any good same with most of them others i have tryed :kilroy:

But Tyrese Gibson already told me that friendly Raptors would NEVER fly below rooftops like that...

Well, you can always choose not to use those modes or assists, and play it as previous Ace Combats.

And yes, the oil splashes on the screen are meant to make the "metal carnage" more immersing. But, I still dare to say that this will be leaps ahead of HAWX.

"These options can be turned off."

Also, I'm fairly certain that the game and even the aces can be shot down without trying these newfangled gimmicky gadgets. I've played this series since Ace Combat 3..

Air Combat....

So that make before it became Ace Combat. Ace Combat 3 reminds me that I need to write a strongly worded letter to Namco telling them to give us fan the real Ace Combat 3 that was only released in Japan...

Also reminds me to find the things I need to crack my old PS1 so I can play the Japan Ace Combat 3 on my US PS1.

Indeed, that Japanese version seems to have RPG elements to it. I wonder if anyone has modelled X-49 Night Raven for any flight sim..:icon_lol:
