Addictive Simulations Pitts S-1 Special

Hello,

I have two questions, if you please:

1) I've been looking for a good Pitts Special and am wondering if anyone has Addictive Simulations' nice-looking Pitts S-1? There are a smattering of freeware Pitts versions out there, but none have that special 'pop'.

2) I have Samsung's 23-inch LED (TN panel) monitor (1080P) but after seeing MAC's new 27-inch glossy Thunderbolt display, I am drooling with envy! Fortunately there are 27-inch PC monitors out there with the same native 2560X1440 resolution. I'm going to buy a glossy 27-inch monitor (IPS panel) because the displays are absolutely gorgeous and my 1920X1080 TN panels are no where near the clarity and brightness. Just curious about how these glossy super HD IPS panels are for gaming in general and flightsim in particular?

Yep, I got the Pitts Special. Lots of detail and repaints, and tons of fun to fly.

Well, this is the latest thread I could find about the Pitts. I just purchased it with PayPal, but have yet to receive my serial number from Mr. Chester. Nowhere on the site did I find someplace to enter my email address, so I assumed he would get it from PayPal. Did I assume right, and there's just a lag between payment and delivery, or did I screw it up? Thanks.

I had to find my original receipt to answer your question.

I received an e-mail from David Chester that contained the username and password to unlock the product as well as a link to download it. It did take awhile to hear from Chester.

They have a dedicated form on Avsim, so you may want to post a comment there.

Where did you make your purchase? At the moment it seems their Addictive Sim website is down, or at least my saved link is going nowhere. If so, this may explain why you haven't received your registration yet.
 
Thanks. The site has been working fine for over a week for me as I debated whether or not to buy it. It was up and running less than two hours ago. I must have broken it.

I'm glad you said there was a delay before you received your key. I'm hitting the road in a few hours and was a little freaked out that I hadn't gotten it yet. I've only bought a few payware aircraft, and they were all sent immediately. I sent him an email just in case I had screwed up somewhere along the line. Hopefully my serial number will be waiting for me when I get back. Thanks again.

Wow, just got my serial number. Lord, it's a beauty. Super service, too, with a quick reply from David explaining the lag. Not sure why I waited so long to buy. Thanks, WH.
