Aerosoft F-16

Brian_Gladden

SOH-CM-2025
Thinking of getting this but I have a question. Does it come in the two seat B/D model?

Then I'll have to do a Vermont Guard tail for it like the repaint I did for Dino's freeware F-35A

I think the Aerosoft F-16 is the single seater and the IRIS F-16 is the two seater.

Cheers,
Huub

Is the IRIS F-16 even available anymore? I thought the sales link was broken due to a dispute between the company and the modeler.

JAMES

Aerosoft does the single, IRIS the dual and yes, I believe (haven't checked TBH) there was a dispute and subsequent WFU.
FWIW, I think the P3D4 Viper might be Aerosoft.....but I need to look closer.
:encouragement:

Brian. Only Iris did 2 seater. I have it and it was good model but now You cant buy it. According Aerosoft model is ok but it isnt top of te top (and this is C version for single pilot). You have this Aerosoft model in P3Dv4 for free without weapon. Milviz works on Fighting Falcon too but 2018 I think.

Brian
I have the Aerosoft F-16 and I also have a copy of the Vermont ANG repaint for this model that was originally uploaded to this site. I don't know if it is still available here.

Regards Paul Day.

Yes it is wombat. They've even stated that there going to release the missing models and paints as a free update for V4 at some point.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't really care about the older model in the aerosoft bird. As long as it's FSX native (I run P3D V1) I'm good. Sweet on the VT Paint. I figured someone might have done one (Maybe Mike Mcintire?) since he and I are about the only Vermonter's on here.

The Aerosoft Viper flys nicely enough in P3D4, just loaded all mine.
Be good if Aerosoft update them to reasonably current standards for P3D4.
Box stock terrain etc.
Screenies are a bit rough and I've not checked out bells and whistles but time is short in RL right now.

Bloody farm!!

How did you load these missiles ?
The default F-16 in my P3Dv4 has no loadouts at all ?
Or did you install the "retail" Aerosoft F-16 in P3Dv4 directly to overwrite the default version ?

That is the aerosoft offering without any texture upgrades. I am in the process of ugrading the textures for this bird with Tim's AO layers plus Vin and my enhanced canopy textures and AB. I did a couple of VT ANG repaints back in the day.

Dag

Looking forward to your enhanced canopy textures for the P3D v4 version of the F-16.

Nice, a missile config I've never seen before. Looks like "TMAP" was used to add them.

Vipers are limited to Aerosoft and freeware FS9 port over Kirk O. model (single and family wagon).

Briefly, I always backup an aircraft that has many variations and repaints.
So just to try this out I simply dropped the Aerosoft Viper 'backup' straight into P3D4, and it worked.
If the included Viper was the same then any gauges or modules would be already in place, and so it appears.
I did backup the P3D4 Viper 'just in case'...........:encouragement:
