Aerosoft New Orleans is Out!!

I was interested in this, but the decision to not include night textures turned me off. Hope it does well for them though.

Dang the download is slow, 47kb/sec. for 271 megabytes. At this rate I'll be to hammered to post good screenshots.:icon29:

Here are some shots. I also have Megascenery Earth installed. I never flew around the NAS before so I don't know if it was included in the new scenery.

The city looks pretty incredible with all the buildings. The airport looks...not so good. It looks like there's a lot of buildings with no model or autogen and the transition from asphalt to concrete looks clumsy. Then there's that helipad in the middle of a taxiway intersection.

Dude! You pulling my leg? That is the NSA down at Belle Chase.

It´s a budget city scenery so they didn´t model any entire airports just fited them to the photomesh! That´s why the airports are pretty much default stuff on photocarpet.

I might try this one, to go fly somewhere else for a while and to test this scenery-series. But my budget is sooo tiny these days... will see. City looks great!

Scratch,

Why don't you drop that ol' P-40 down and bust a hard left and get us some Cafe Du Monde Beignets and that wonderful Chicory coffee :applause:

How is the performance? Is it flyable with the Cera Bell? I'd be also interested in Indianapolis and San Francisco, but i did read a lot negative comments regarding the performance of those city sceneries.

Performance with helos is really good. I don't have the Cera, but I flew around alot last night in the default Bell 206 with the hi res textures and it was perfectly smooth. The only buildings you can land on are the ones with helipads.

Thanks Scratch! I couldn't resist and i'm glad that it is indeed flyable on my system. With the Cera Bell i get constantly 18 FPS but with full ai traffic (no road traffic), bad weather and with the higher detailed buildings.
I hope they will also make Chicago, but hopefully with night lighting.
