Bigmike IMHO the seahawk/jayhawk are a bit dated but its a pretty good model visually and it comes with a pretty cool program that allows you to put CG cutters etc wherever you want to, it also fly's pretty good too. There are a lot of repaints out there too. This is just my opinion

The helcopter is ok depending on what your standards are. As the other participant mentioned, the helicopter is dated, but it depends on what you like.
For me....

Pros:

  • Nice visuals
  • Acceptable sounds (if I remember right)


Cons:

  • Simplified flight model specifically designed for beginners. It's an "overly stable" helicopter that I can't say is realistic, but can certainly be flow by anyone.
  • Contact points for the forward wheels are a bit off, with the ability to be perfectly stable (as if on all wheels) while only resting on the tail wheel. Evidence is dirt being kicked up while rolling with front wheels off the ground. This may be due to the animation and contact point situation provided by the tail wheel, which has very extended travel.
  • Regarding the glass panel, one must open and close the 2D panel for the VC gauges to initialize properly.
  • Limited clickable switches in the VC, but things are manageable. I can't remember specifics, other than that the beacon switch is not animated, so you can only tell if it's on from the outside view.
  • No paint kit, and there's only a handful of third party repaints available online. Nationality variety is provided in package itself with USCG, USN, Australian Navy, Spain (I believe), Japan, and I think Greece is in there too.
 
big-mike, if you can get a deal on it, go for it. It's in my hangar as well as another developers UH. Pros and Cons to both. The mentioned GUI for placing the ships is nice, but I use AICarriers now. I use a more user friendly autopilot found on Hovercontrol, where you can also find a few more reviews. Model initially came with only one pilot, a few scale issues and I found it slightly heavy on framerates. Working hoist makes SAR alot more fun and more realistic.

Flight dynamics sadly based off the stock B206 again, which means only one engine simulated and heavy MOI's. The aircraft should be actually be easy to fly as the real one is thanks to both SAS and AFCS, limited pedal input for most flight regimes. The APU is sim'd, so accurate pre-engine starts are possible along with blade fold. Glass panel is nice and is close enough for FSX to simulate the current MH-60R/T models in US service.

Thank you,i will think about it.There are allwas pro and cons and i am far away of being perfect in Heli flying,but i learn every day a bit more.:icon_lol:

From my "old" hangar.

Not a top level (avionics) but still is good. I like too this "Shipyard 2.0" tool and NAV options - Home Mode (second screen) from this package. Just pity than I cant add any ship from this package for AI Carriers or TacPack / Carrier opition (always I recive CTD of FSX).
