AFCAD Question

Hey Guys !

Over the years I've down-loaded / installed bunches of "airport scenery" files but never any "AFCADs" because I was never too sure as to what they were exactly. I tried one today (Colorado Springs) but didn't see any difference. Whats the deal ?? Are they worth the time and space ??

Thanks,
LD

It depends what is done with them. Some of them add parking spots, like my one for RAF Valley, others just correct where airliners park, or adjust the layout to be in a slightly different place or configuration.

Yes, they can be worthwhile - for instance if the default airport only has a runway, in which case an "AFCAD" (They're not actually AFCADs for FSX because the tool isn't supported properly) can add aprons, parking spots and taxiways.

A lot of it is often down to personal preference.

Thanks Ian, :ernae::ernae:

I'm not a very "particular" dog.....I'll eat most anything.

I reckon I'll stay with the regular "airport scenery files"......
