There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Thanks, and yes you are correct, that's not the area I was looking for. . .however I do have the other suggested areas and they do very little to correct the poorly illustrated coastlines around Tripoli. It will probably require some hand-done work to get it correct. Thanks. This was posted here some time ago, but from the looks of it that's not what you're looking for.
What you're looking for is probably ORBX Global + vector and FreeMeshX.
You might check out the sceneries listed on this page. http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx.html
Orbx is bringing open land class Africa this year.

At the top of this image there is an airport, which I believe is what used to be Wheelus AFB and is now referred to as Mitiga. Can you take a close shot of that and post if possible. The problem I've found with most default offerings is that the flightline area sits too far off the coast. I worked in the Main Hangar at the north end of the ramp, closest to what was called "Perimeter Road". After work I could walk across the street and down onto the beach to go swimming. . .most default scenery shows it to be a much farther distance than that from the hangar to where the beach area would be.Good advice, thanks Frank! I found in "Freeware Scenery" this Africa Photoreal package. It looks quite nice:
