AH Hurricane MkIV.

Easily confused.
Hi Folks,

Before Crimbo, I rashly suggested that I might have a look at producing a Hurricane MkIV using the AH Hurricane pack. Well, After consulting with gavinc, who is more than happy for people to play with the Hurris, I have made a MkIV along the lines of the aircraft that I originally made-up using Thicko's Hurris. What I have made is A MkIV with tanks, bombs and rockets, plus a seperate Tankbuster in three different skins. They are.....
LD345 MU-N of 60 Sqn serving in the Far East,
LE478 of 164 Sqn operating in the anti-shipping and ground attack role and based in Southern England in the lead up to D Day.
and KZ188 of 6 Sqn, serving in the Balkans Campaign. This aircraft has it's own dp to allow for the famous Balkans Air Force asymetric warloads (that gives it a total of TEN loads!!).
They will be ready for upload sometime this week (I hope) after final adjustments and last minute panics.

I forgot to mention......

I've also got six skins for RobH and Hewman100's superb AH hurricane MkIIb and three for the MkIId Tankbuster in the works. The IIb skins are nearly finished and include a Soviet aircraft armed with Russian Weapons and, possibly, an alternative dp to use FDG weapons (I'm experimenting at the moment). The IId skins have a little work to go before they're ready.

Thank you, Kind People. I'm really feeling quite smug about them, to be honest. They came out even better than I expected! The dp for the 6 Sqn MkIV took some effort and I'd added the exhaust glow to them using Merlin66's yas effect without realising that RobH and Hewman100 had already produced their MkIIb with exhaust glow. It was only when I contacted gavinc about the mods that I found out about it. I was supposed to be getting on with my Middle Eastern post-war stuff, but these Hurricanes just get a hold on you.

P.S. I've been in contact with a Mr Hopper at the 6 Sqn Association asking for info on their aircraft and he's been extremely helpful. I am thinking about doing a 6 Sqn pack with skins for all the types that they operated during WW2. Nothing like making work for myself, eh?

Soon, my friend. Just some tweaking, description changes on the airfiles and final testing and we're there. You know what I'm like, paranoid to the extreme about them being in any way iffy.

Wasn't Christmas a couple of weeks ago, or is this a very early one? Whatever, I'll take it. I'm sure Rami will have it in some missions when he can find the time. :applause::jump:
