There are some excellent repaints for this classic AH Seafire, done by our very own Uncle TGT. I believe the skins were initially set up for CFS2, but with a little TLC, the work very well in FS9. Lots of detail and colour control.
I took this plane and added a new prop texture for both the IIC and the III. There were actually two officially licensed manufactures in the construction of the real Seafire IIC and III, "Cunliffe-Owen Aircraft" and "Westland Aircraft". I have two different Merlin sound packs for both, only slight differences between the two... just for the heck of it.
Convert the external textures for each to 32 bit, keep the alpha channels and save without mip maps using DXTBMP, and the paints will be crisp and clear on the models... Adds lots of new life to these superb little Spits.
My all time favorite WWII fighter. It's a Spitfire that you can land on a carrier. What's not to like?
Did a lot of tweaking on mine too. Redid the panel with gauges from the WoP Lanc and a couple of other period aircraft and flew it around the world landing on carriers that I had moved about just for that.
To be fair to Morton, my repaints are largely based on his base paints.
All done in 565 & no MIPs, so should display with the minimum of issues as they are. You can use DXTbmp & merge with the AH alpha channels if you want...
I forgot to mention, the screenies are all from CFS2...
