AI Aircraft

I'm pretty new to IL2, being mostly a CFS2 guy. But I recently installed IL2 1946, v4.11, and started to D/L some of the interesting missions and campaigns I found on some of the dedicated IL2 sites.

In some of the missions I find that the player is to fly, what in my sim, is an AI aircraft, in this case it's the Fi-156. Is there a way to make the AI planes flyable as in CFS2?

Also in one mission some of the aircraft called for are not in my 1946 IL2. The P-35 and Ki-30 are two not in the sim that I can find. Thanks if you can help. I figure SOH is the best place to get answers to my questions.

It sounds like you have dled missions for a modded version of IL 46. You want to stay with missions or campaigns that are for the stock setup you have installed.

Okay Eddie, thanks for the reply. That's what I thought, 'cause other than the patches, I hadn't modded anything, nor would I know how too.
