And now it's stopped working again!. "Show/hide menu (shift+j)" . . . and nothing happens.
Did you add something, a plane, a scenery, a gauge, ANYthing that might have altered either of your EXE.XML files?
Did you perhaps edit the one with the AIC entry with a word processor? ANYthing other than NotePad or NotePad++?
Last time you edited it, did you start the editor (whatever it was) with Admin rights?
Could you have accidentally inserted a letter, or character, into the EXE.XML someplace it shouldn't be? Even a space can mess it up if it's in the wrong place.
I don't understand why you sim insists on loosing things you've added to it. You're sure it's not installed in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (X86)? Every thing you do to anything you do as Administrator?
You haven't update Windows or anything like that? Updated a driver of some sort, uninstalled the .NET file required by AICarriers or even just up-dated it? You might try re-installing it, just to see if that's it. The .NET file, not AIC
Make sure you're running the version called for by the AIC Readme file, not an updated version of it.
Again, just trying to think of any possibility I can. I don't have P3D so I can't be certain I'm covering every base, but I'm trying
