• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Following your tracers is great when you have plenty of ammunition. You won't be doing much "tracer aiming" in an N11. By the time you follow the tracers to the target, you're out of ammo. The overall best thing is, like was said previously. Develop a "feel" for it

I agree, you have to have a feel for where your guns shoot in any given ride. Otherwise, no telling where you'll be shooting, TIR or not.

I have the feel for my rides so my 1st shots either hit or come very close. I don't walk tracers onto a target from far away, but I do use them to "aim" as in verifying where I'm shooting.

That said, TIR makes it MUCH easer to do all this. If you're looking through the sight, you can't see under your nose at all so deflection shooting in a turn is pure guesswork. If you're in a limited-ammo Noop, you might not even take such a shot. But with TIR, you can see the target so no problem.

Also, in the normal furball shots, putting the target above your nose with TIR gets it above the muzzle flashes, so you can actually see your tracers and the hit graphics for a change.
