Airbus X

So, i've been looking for a Harcore realistic Airbus because I want to learn about it properly, the default airbus FSX will not do. I have spotted Airbus X by Aerosoft, Last time I l saw one of their products it said must have throttle and joysitck with pedals to fly the aircraft. Is this the same case with Airbus X? At the momment I cannot get any hardware, so it will have to wait. Is there any way to get control of the plane with just Keyboard and mouse?

Gabe

No airplane should and could be nowadays driven by keyb+mouse, airbus X isn't an ecception btw superb ext and INT model but very poor about avionics and MCDU.
I almost had an heart attack from your question even if I must admit 20 y ago I begun my flightsimming trip wit them only. Have a nice day.

Roberto is right

you need to have a have a Joystick, and throttle, the Fly-by-wire system requires it. If you do want to purchase the Airbus x, wait a few weeks or so, they are working on second version, which is suppose to be more in depth systems wise, and a more realistic MCDU (FMS system). So you might as well wait until the next version, although you will still need a joystick, and throttle.

I've no idea when it will be released, but this is the other Airbus that's being developed at the moment: http://www.flightsimlabs.com/

Presumably it will be as in-depth as their Concorde, so it would certainly be worth considering if you want a more realistic experience.

Improved Posky A318/A319

So, i've been looking for a Harcore realistic Airbus because I want to learn about it properly...

You should check out this topic in the french forum pilote virtuel. A guy is improving the Posky A318 and A319, with FMC, fly by wire update, all the hardcore goodies... And it's FREE. François is very dedicated! And he secured all the publishing rights...

AAAAAAAH! the French have not left from the map yet :jump: I do have the A318(baby ^.^) exterior model is very superior, yet I am left with the default fsx airbus cockpit. This will hold untill my budget allows some beefy controls. Check Fantastic furniture Catalogue and Freedom furniture Catalogue. Thanks for the update on the Airbus X robertorizzo, will keeep her under my wing, gonna spare a few more to learn about the Airbus, sounds like a good choice. Seen at the Airport thoes pilots with nice shirts which have Airbus written on their collars in royal blue

Thank you vonstroheim for the HU and translations. I have been looking for a A319 like this that will fit in with my virtual airline. Just need to find a painter with a fictional talent for a Canadian North.

Project Airbus has released the version 2.2 of their Airbus A32X series, with sharklets, new lights, spoilerons, chevrons, and a few other things. So far only for FS9 (works in FSX but no VC). FSX native version should follow shortly. VC merge will then be possible, as usual.

Here the FS9 A320 sharklets CFM version in FSX, with a Stian Svensen repaint.
