Hope you chaps enjoy this release, it isnt another P51, spitfire, 737 etc so I hope it will keep a few of you busy. Its a great model, great sound and a joy to fly in the FSX skies. And dont worry Ill be working on Scott and Rob with my whips and homemade Dungeon to try and get a few more 'different' aircraft out. *insert whip sound*

Also downloading now. And still awaiting an accusim'd Jumo 211 - type airplane, hmm wonder what that could be, lol.

After looking at the video, I think I´ll get it and start a Mission for it....it looks outstanding!!!!!:jump::jump:

Looks like a alien form of locust with all them antenni on the nose!!

Yup it is butt ugly, but a fascinating a/c with that big salad fork stuck on the nose.:jump:

I'd love to be able to tune that salad fork lol. Someday hopefully someone models some WW2 era radar sets.

look great , can some one explain the czech livery i saw in one of the screen shots?

"This unusual aircraft was a two-seat Czech conversion. It was lightly armed, with just four cannon, but carried a lot of fuel
because of the two extra nacelle tanks of 105 US gallons each. It was equipped with a FuG 220 Lichtenstein search radar"

straight from the manual :wavey:

It's cool to have her in this sim, thank you AF/A2A team for an aircraft i was not hoping to see in FSX!:ernae:

Fun to fly

Fun to fly, but with a number of niggles which I don't remember from the FS9 models. And the manual looks comprehensive until you start trying to use it for more than scan reading it, when you find holes in the operating procedures and a number of key performance parameters missing.

I'm sure they'll fix it, but it's the second Aircraft Factory release that has a number of careless errors at release.

And a question for the experts. Should the armoured screen be opaque? I thought it was armoured glass, same as on most WWII windscreens, the only difference being it hinges up.

Beautiful aircraft! :applause: The pilots look very promising for the accusimmed Bf109! :engel016:

I agree with Huub 100% about the pilots...:kilroy:
It would be a real treat getting the 109E accusimmed and loaded with any one of these pilots!

Getting back to the UHU, does any one have problem either getting it up or down ... I mean taking off and landing, naturally...?

I have the FS9 A2A version which is probably one of the best flying planes that I have had the pleasure of buying and flying. It flies by the book and to a "t". It would take off nicely with a bit of negative trim and make landings which were close to perfect every time. I could probably have flown the plane with one hand tied behind my back...:applause:

This FSX version is unfortunately the worst behaved plane that I have flown in a long time and no sibling of the original FS9 version, that's for sure...

I find that on take off, the nose will try to imitate a candle and it takes an inordinate amount of trimming to get the nose down (even though trimming was set as requested in the manual).

As for landing, my first try was a total loss with the co-pilot getting both legs broken (as per historic facts...) and the 4 following ones gave way to a battle between the plane and the pilot (me) to get it to line up with the runway and settle down, eventually...
albeit, outside the runway...

This plane goes in the shed until someone comes up with a better FSX air file...
