Aircraft file list versus planes in game aircraft list

Killer Svend

SOH-CM-2024
One thing is that I have serious problems installing some aircrafts in the game list, especially planes not not from SOH or Simviation, depite tangeling with change names air-cfg, model cfg and sound cfg files. but I have just faced another thing, I deleted some planes in the file list but they still shows up in the game list and are fully funktioning, the same happend when I deleted some textures planes are still there in the game with all textures (I am far below limits of planes and I need never more than one texture per plane) What the H... is going on? Where is "the missing link" between file list and game list?

easy way would be to get "AC man" to help manage your planes. Saves all the headache of tracing them.

Killer Svend,

Aircraft manager (AcMan for short) can be found at Martin Wright's site: http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/

Or, just click here: http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/download/acman.zip

However, deleting the aircraft from the "file list" (by which do mean the mdlnames.txt file??) does not remove them from the game. Additionally, if you remove textures from the aircraft's texture folder, you'll need to also erase the corresponding additional entries in the aircraft.cfg file.

Thanks for all your effort to help me, I am getting more and more knowledge about how things are put together, I will never be a "guru" but less can do it.This "AC-Man" is certainly a gentleman who helps an "Old Man" to keep his planes arranged in a proper way.:salute: Killer Svend
