Airfield FPS Optimized in P3?

Hello,

I have just ordered my copy of P3, and I am looking forward to it :)

But I had problems with P2, as did some others with low/medium spec PCs, with a significant drop in FPS within sight of airfields (making landing very difficult at FPS in the low to mid teens), and I remember from the forum discussions that some form of 'optimization' of airfields with P3, to provide a workshop setting to reduce airfield objects or parked a/c, might be included to help with this. Did this ever make it to P3, or was it accepted that most of the people with this problem would sooner or later upgrade to better PC system? I am still saving for that new system, and so have yet to upgrade from my AMD64 3400+/1 GB RAM/ATI AGP 9800 Pro, so am I likely to find that this airfield issue is still a problem with P3?

Hello Bletchley

Bottom line no not as much as I had hoped but we will continue to work on this - it is a CFS3 issue - but it need not hold us up as we have a genius coder on our team as most of u know - Rex Hannover.

Best

Thank you for the quick reply Winder :)

Unless it still effects a lot of players, please do not divert any OFF team resources to this. I will sooner or later (sooner I hope - I am getting there) upgrade to a better system anyway, and I guess most people here already have. I was just curious, not asking for a solution.
