Alert: Sound Config. Files Gone (!?)

Well here's an interesting one...every "sound.cfg" in my three CFS3 installs is gone :banghead:...this includes all of the individual aircraft sound folders too...wav files are in the "DR_Engine_Sounds" but no sound.cfgs...I am just about fed up, because this means I have to search my back ups to restore all of these, and I'm not sure it's worth the time anymore.

Short of system restore, or copy / paste each .cfg file...is there a simple solution?!!? I did run a disc cleanup recently but all the files were still there afterwards (at least in one install)...

Nope...simply gone - I had hoped my antivirus might havequarantined them - no luck...

Just to check - are the aircraft sounds still working when you do a qc for each aircraft? A left-field possibility is that somehow the settings have changed, the .cfg files are recognised as sytem files and do not display and are hidden.

Hope its nothing more serious!
