Alison Krauss & Union Station

Hey, Cyber - I got an idea. . . let's shoot "Tool" off into space and they can communicate mathematically with some aliens. . . maybe. Sort of -

:running:

PBR, I live in an area of Virginia rich in blue-grass roots. Allison may be Illinois born, but she's adopted Virginia bred. :>) That young girl hasn't even made forty yet and she's a legend already. I have seen her many times, with Union Station and without, it is the privilege of living where her musical talents are so prevalent.

We also worship Mike Cross, NC Musician Historian in Residence. Wouldn;t miss one of his performances near-by for nothing. Don't ever take this excellent talent too seriously. :icon_lol:

Hey All,

Anybody who knows Alison Krauss and Union Station EVER refers to her and her band this way. They are simply AKUS - those four letters is all you need. And her band well, Jerry Douglas and Dan Tyminski are legends in and of themselves.

Here is one of my very favorite Alison Krauss songs - a duet with Brad Paisley.

She is amazing - awards from the IBMA (Internation Bluegrass Music Association), CMA (Country Music Association), ACM (Academy of Country Music), GMA (Gospel Music Association), CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association), CMT (Country Music Television) and no woman in history has more Grammy's than Alison Krauss - she finally beat out Aretha Franklin.

PS Cazzie uh Virginia can't adopt AKUS because Canada did after her performance with the Chieftans. :bump:

This video isn't the best, but the duo with Michael Johnson and Allison was great!
