Nice! I play guitar a little, not that plastic banana stuff, more of the Duane Eddy, Shadows, Ventures style. The good ole stuff. Nice looking 12/6 string setup. Looks like that would
be some weight hanging from your neck/shoulders. Would be nice if it had a "twanger" stick "tremolo" stick. As you may know, Duane Eddy and the Ventures use it a lot in some of their
tunes. Do you know/play the Wipe out riffs from the Surfaris? The drummer, Ron Wilson, was only a kid back then.



Bob Berryhill, Pat Connolly, Jim Fuller and Ron Wilson wrote the tune almost on the spot, as a suitable B-side was needed for the intended "Surfer Joe" single. In late 1962, while the band was in Cucamonga's Pal Recording Studio recording the single, one of the band members suggested that a gimmick sound indicating a wipe out off a surfboard be emulated. The suggestion was made that during the introduction before the music starts, a cracking sound, imitating a breaking surfboard, should be made. This followed by a manic voice babbling, "ha ha ha ha ha, wipe out." The spoken voice at the beginning of the song is the voice of the band's manager of the time, Dale Smallin.
 
I play a few hours a day, for 50 years. I still have my first guitar a "Gibson C0" it is a 1963 and I got it for xmas 1965

I still have my 12 string electric "Monkey Guitar I got in xmas 1967" A teisco
 
Howdy, all-

I have the Epiphone double-neck, because I'm way too cheap to splurge on the Gibson... I get it out for the kids down the street when they want to play Stairway To Heaven... they love it...

Yep they are heavy, as I recall I'd play "stairway to heaven" and put it down, lol
That song sold a bunch of these double neck guitars.
 
My Les Paul Custom got very heavy playing a 4 hour gig and would hate to think of shouldering anything heavier.
